CM120

The CM120 is a transmission electron microscope (TEM) ideal for cryoelectron microscopy or cryoelectron tomography. Its key features are:

  • 120kV
  • LaB6 filament
  • computer-controlled cryostage
  • suitable for both cryoEM and cryoET

The CM120 is controlled by a dedicated computer running Windows XP. Images captured from the CM120 can be recorded on either film or the TIETZ F224HD CCD camera. Briefly, this camera is 2K x 2K with a pixel size of 24 μm. The image processing programs installed are EMMENU4, EMMENU3, and the TIETZ Tomography Package.
